Kevin Conover was a teacher at Christian High School in El Cajon. He is head of Bible Department there. He was previously the school’s vice principal and has worked there for a decade He also runs Educate for Life, a Bible apologetics curriculum and podcast. He is also the host of a weekly radio show. His provides a curriculum that teaches supernatural creationism, denying evolution.
He is currently suspended after his arrest for child sexual abuse. He was arrested on the private school campus which serves children from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Conover ran for the Grossmont Union school board with the endorsement of the Republican Party of San Diego in 2016.
He is charged with fourteen counts of felon sexual abuse of a minor. The child is a family member and the abuse is said to have happened from 2015 to 2019, starting when the victim was just seven years old. He is being held without bail.
