James P. McClusky sentenced a school bus driver who confessed to raping a fourteen-year-old girl to probation, ten years probation, and designated him a Level 1 Sex Offender which meant he was not placed on the Sex Offender registry.
Morton Klein is the head of the Zionists of America, a far-right group closely allied with Republican politicians and heavily funded by Republican donors. There are allegations of sexual harassment against him.
Mark Halperin was a conservative news reporter who worked for ABC, Bloomberg, MSNBC, NBC, and PBS. He now works for NewsMax, a newish news channel founded for people who think FOX is too liberal. His journey from legitimate, legacy media to fact-adverse NewsMax is the result of being accused of sexual harassment and forcible touching by over a dozen women.
Anthony Pappas was the Republican candidate taking on Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez. His ex-wife accused him of domestic violence and has a 20-year restraining order after he broke her jaw. He told the Republican chairwoman that his campaign account was frozen by the government because he owed child support leading her to agree with the Democrats that he was “unhinged.”
Joe Incoronato was a Dutchess County legislator when in a meeting he said women bring rape and harassment on themselves based on their behavior. The Dutchess Legislature voted 23-1 to censure him for his statements. He responded by introducing a proposal that people can only be censured if convicted of a felony or serious misdemeanor.
He has apologized for saying it while continuing to give further context that his opinion has not changed. He repeats again and again that a woman who drinks or uses drugs is impaired and more open to rape or assault, not understanding that it is the rapist who rapes. Women drinking is not an invitation to rape.
Michael Kelsey was a Republican representative in the New York Assembly. In 2014, he was also a Boy Scout leader who took some teenage boys on a camping trip where he molested two of them.
Joseph Hayon was an anti-gay conservative activist and founder of the Brooklyn Tea Party. He ran for the New York Assembly in 2010 emphasizing family values, attacking his opponent for supporting an anti-bullying bill because it included LGBTIQ students. He ran again in 2012 in a different district, and lost again. In 2013, he ran for City Council and lost definitively. His campaign again focused on morality and family values, emphasizing a proposal to ban the sale of obscene literature and have librarians face criminal penalties if children saw porn on library computers.
He was arrested and confessed to viewing child exploitation imagery of girls from two to twelve. He was convicted of 94 counts of possession of sexual performance by a child. He was sentenced to 1.4 to 4 years per count to run concurrently.
He also has a violent personal past. He was arrested in 2010 for domestic violence, assaulting his ex-girlfriend while visiting his daughter at her home. He pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor domestic battery charge. The charges were dismissed in 2012 after he completed anger management counselling.
Angela Wozniak was elected to the New York Assembly, replacing Dennis Gabryszak, a Democrat who was accused of sexual harassment. She promised change. However, she was similarly accused less than a year into her term. Elias Farah worked for her. They had a consensual affair, but when he wanted to end it, she coerced into continuing, he claimed. She then banned him from working in the district office and Wozniak disparaged him.
“The ethics committee unanimously agrees that Assembly Member Wozniak retaliated against her director of legislation by tarnishing his reputation to the person who had recommended him, and through her counsel identifying him by name to the press as the complaining party, as well as making other statements to the press that are reasonably likely to harm the director of legislation’s reputation in express violation of the ethics committee’s explicit notice to refrain from any breach of confidentiality,” the ethics committee wrote.
Politico: Wozniak admonished over affair with staffer
Greg Ball was a New York state senator. He was accused in 2016 of banging a woman’s head against a post while trying to force her to perform oral sex. The woman held back from reporting for several months, claiming she feared Ball and was too embarrassed. A few days after she gave the report she said she did not want to press charges.
The police report gives a full, and frightening account of her experience. Ball has retained an attorney to threaten her. He called it politically motivated, but it was never made public during the election.
He has a history. An ex-girlfriend took out an order of protection when they broke up. Another woman claimed he groped her. A woman wrote a letter accusing him of sexual harassment, but that accusation was found to be not credible.
