Richard E. Jacklin was an Illinois Catholic priest at St. Mary Immaculate Parish whose bulletins are full of denunciations of secular and liberal government. He was arrested in 2017 after a nurse walked in and caught him performing oral sex on a patient. He argued in his defense that the patient forced him to do it. The patient was partially paralyzed and had an IQ of 47.
Garrett Biggerstaff was the pastor of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Fairfield and a Trump supporter. He is also charged with grooming children.
Nick Provenzano was Deputy District Director for Illinois Republican Congressman Randy Hultgren until he was fired after being arrested for criminal sexual assault with a minor, a 17-year-old boy whom he met on Grindr. The boy said he told Hultgren he was seventeen, but Hultgren claimed the boy said he was 18 and that this was a consensual sexual encounter. Politico has the entire police report here. No charges were filed.
Bill Gothard founded the Institute in Basic Life Principles which some people call a conservative Christian cult. It has very strict gender roles that circumscribe women’s lives, forbidding higher education, choosing their spouse, ordering what clothing they wear, and prohibiting cutting their hair. The Duggars are part of this ministry.
Francis Joseph (Frank) Collin founded the National Socialist Party of America. He also molested young boys and took pictures. Somehow it is just perfect that the founder of the National Socialist party went to prison for child molestation, or “indecencies with boys.”
Nonetheless, in October, 2022, he broke into her home and beat up her boyfriend, tearing his ear lobe, biting him in the back, and giving him a black eye and scratches.
Jason Musselman was a Republican elected as Alderman in Toulon Township in Illinois. In March, 2022, he was arrested for producing, distributing, and possessing child sexual exploitation materials. He was charged with both state and federal charges.
He was sentenced to four years for each count, to be served consecutively. He was released after six years. He appealed his conviction and was denied. He claims he was wrongfully convicted. It should be shocking that a man who was sentenced to twelve years in prison for rape would win the Republican nomination. Yet, somehow it is not.
Brad Graven is a former Moultrie County board member and he was an active volunteer for Illinois Rep. Mary Miller’s campaign. He not only collected signatures, he was given access to her legislative vehicle and drove her to meetings and events.
Miller was convicted of soliciting a minor. He was sentenced to two years’ probation and 40 days in the DuPage County Jail. He had arranged to meet with someone he thought was a teenage boy for sex, but he actually met a police officer.

Mike Stoecklin was the mayor of Saunemin for two terms ending in 2008. In 2010, he was under consideration for an appointment to a state Senate seat. He was also a grade school coach at Saunemin Grade School. He created child sex abuse material, taking pictures of himself with one of his students. He also sexually abused the student. Authorities said he filmed himself posed in a sexual manner while engaged in a sexual act between him and a child under the age of 18.
