Jeffrey Lynn Thomas was a self-described tough-on-crime District Attorney. He went to a woman’s home after she told him he was unwelcome. When he would not leave, she slapped him. He punched her, giving her a nose bleed, then attacked and raped her, not leaving until she promised not to call the police.
Ryan Samsel is an insurrectionist. He is accused of assaulting several officers during the insurrection and leaving one of them with a concussion. He has a long history of domestic violence and sexual assault. In fact, at the time he was attacking Capitol Police, there was a warrant for his arrest for alleged breaking into a woman’s home to assault her. He was also on parole for his brutal attack on his pregnant girlfriend and witness intimidation.
Mark Samsel was a Kansas state representative. He also worked as a substitute teacher until one day he began ranting about god, the Bible, suicide, and masturbation. In the midst of this, he kicked a student in the groin. Another student captured it on camera.
Andrew Ryan Bennett is an insurrectionist. On January 6th, he was chanting “break it down” when he entered the Capitol. He also wore a Proud Boys hat. He has a long criminal history full of violence against women. In 2003, he broke down a glass door at a tattoo parlor and attacked a woman and served eighteen months in prison. That same year his mother called the police for help because he had gotten drunk and was menacing her and others. In 2009, he assaulted his sister and his TWO-YEAR-OLD nephew. He poured bleach on the child. A woman whose known him since childhood said in stroke of understatement, “I don’t think he says women as equals.”
Robert Forsythe was a New Hampshire state representative. While running for re-election, he was accused of domestic violence, choking an intimate partner who was pregnant at the time and kneeing her in the back.
Thomas Gilmer, a Q conspiracist, ran for Congress in Connecticut. He entered the Republican primary, was endorsed by the party convention, but was arrested for domestic violence the evening before votes were cast and withdrew the morning of the primary. His opponent, Justin Anderson, and the Republican party chair, J.R. Romano, knew about the incident.
C.J Covati was an attorney in Roanoke, Virginia and sometimes served as a substitute judge. He was also managing a strip club and it was there that he assaulted a dancer. He pleaded guilty to assault and battery.
Daniel Rodimer is the retired professional wrestler Dan Rodman and an unsuccessful Republican candidate for Congress. He’s also been accused of domestic violence though no charges were filed and he remains married to his wife who twice called the police. Before that, a neighbor called police on him when he was fighting with a former girlfriend. He also has three assault charges and he pleaded no contest to one of them.
Corey Lewandowski was one of Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign managers. Though he was fired, He continued to be part of the Trump world until 2021 after he was alleged to assault a Trump donor. Frank Sapareto was a New Hampshire Republican state representative. He was elected even though he was convicted of three counts of assault in 2013. An argument with his girlfriend’s son ended up with two charges of assaulting the girlfriend’s son and one charge for assaulting her daughter. He appealed the convictions but was unsuccessful. Ironically, he was named vice chairman of the House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee.
Two years later, he was sued for assault, accused of beating up his collaborator in a porn video. He was the actor and was unhappy with the day’s filming. He was accused of breaking into the producer’s home and beating him into unconsciousness. He was hospitalized and the hospital documented severe injuries. Sapareto claimed thought he was filming a tourism video for Japanese tourist but the hours of video proved he was lying. He was removed from his committee vice chairmanship and lost re-election.
