T. Elliott Welch was a Baptist pastor in Forsyth County, North Carolina. He was a vocal opponent of efforts to limit the spread of COVID-19. In April, 2020, he asked how much a little girl was worth in the tweet below. Just one year later, in April 2021, it became evident that he didn’t think little girls were much at all when he was arrested for uploading a video of an adult man raping a child, a little girl. While out on bail, he was arrested again in June for additional charges of possessing child sexual abuse material.

David Dewhurst was the Lieutenant Governor of Texas before he lost to Dan Patrick. He also lost the GOP Senate primary to Ted Cruz. He was arrested in April 2021 for domestic violence after pushing a romantic partner in a struggle. She fell and hit her head. She called police and accused him of assaulting her.

Rodney Wren was a speechwriter for Mike Pompeo. He also was a Republican candidate for the Kansas House and for Wichita City Council. He was accused of having unlawful sexual relations over two years with a teenage student while he was a teacher at Wichita Collegiate School, a private school for students from preschool through twelfth grade.

Priscilla Giddings is an extreme right state representative in Idaho. When Aaron von Ehlinger was accused of rape, several of his supporters accused the teenage intern of lying. Giddings went beyond that, sending out a constituent newsletter doxxing the teen and accusing her of lying. She sent her name, address, and a Facebook post accusing the nineteen-year-old intern of lying out to constituents.

The Missouri Republican Party deserves special condemnation for continuing to support the re-election of Rick Roeber despite his children coming forward and revealing how he abused and molested them through their childhood, allegations they made twenty years earlier as well. The party decided to support Roeber, this incestuous child rapist, rather than risk electing a Democrat. They pledged to investigate him if he was elected rather than asking people to vote for someone else.

Martin (Marty) Peterson was the Idaho State Budget Director with a long history in Republican political circles, working for Senator Frank Church, Governors Andrus and Evans. That may be why he got 90 days in jail and a ten-year suspended sentence despite pleading guilty to two counts of possessing child sexual abuse material. He admitted to looking at images of children ages 10 to 12 being sexually abused and tortured for years.

Gary Caplinger was a member of Allen, Texas, city council and was serving as Mayor pro tem when he resigned after being charged with possessing and intending to distribute child sexual abuse material. He pleaded guilty to two counts, possession and intent to distribute, for which he received five years each, plus ten years probation.
