The Southern Poverty Law Center calls the Constitution Party the most extreme right party in the U.S. In 2018, he ran in the 2018 Republican fubernatorial primary. He lost. Two years later, in 2020, he was charged with the kidnapping and murder of a twelve-year-old girl. In November, 2022, he was convicted.

He was confirmed with a party line vote, in large part because of his extreme and intemperate writing about race, homosexuality, sexual harassment, and rape. He was dishonest with the Judiciary Committee, selectively holding back his controversial writing, an action that led to an Obama appointee not being confirmed. The Republicans looked past his dishonesty and confirmed him anyway.
Scott Robert Jones is the sheriff of Sacramento County. He is retiring in January, 2023. He is the sheriff behind the Netflix series “Jailbirds” and exploitative reality show featuring women prisoners in the Sacramento County jail. He has made two unsuccessful runs as a Republican for Congress, in 2016 and 2022. In 2022, he didn’t make it past the primary.
Nick Hermann was the County Prosecutor in Vanderburgh County, Illinois until he lost the Republican primary in May 2022. A likely contribution to his loss was the sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit brought against him that he settled. That and the $10,000 in controversial expenditures for lingerie and expensive lunches on his county credit card.
Mark Adams was the fiscal officer for Butler township and treasurer of Montgomery County GOP. HeIn 2019, he resigned after a woman accused him of theft and sexual harassment. According to her, he harassed her when she met with him at the bank where he worked. She gave him money to open an account but it was not credited to her. The bank investigated and fired Adams. However, she did not file a suit and he was back at Butler Township in 2020.
Bill Brough was a California Republican Assemblyman representing Orange County. He was asked by his party to retire and withdraw from 2020 re-election race because of sexual harassment and assault allegations as well as an ethics investigation for using campaign funds for personal use. He ran for re-election anyway. He came in fourth in the primary.
