810: Joshua Clemons

Joshua Clemons was the youth pastor at Crossroads Community Church in Parker, Colorado, before going to work for Restoration Community Church in Denver. Church leaders in Parker learned in 2016 that Clemons had a sexual relationship with one of the teen congregants, but she was eighteen, so it was technically legal but highly unethical. So they said nothing. However, they recently learned the relationship began when she was underage and there may be more victims.

There were more victims in Denver. He was charged with using his authority to assault there girls.

He was sentenced to seven years, four in one county and three in another and ten years probation.

A former youth pastor has been arrested as a suspect in sexual assault cases involving children in Denver and
Parker.
Joshua Clemons, 35, was arrested by Denver police on Tuesday on suspicion of sexual assault on a child by a
person in a position of trust, according to a news release.
Clemons also faces two counts of the same charge in Douglas County, according to Parker police.
Clemons was a youth pastor at Cross Roads Community Church, 9900 Twenty Mile Road in Parker, from 2008
through September 2015, police said. All three of the alleged crimes happened while Clemons worked at the
church, and the victims were members of the youth program.
Cross Roads church brought allegations in the case to investigators, and the community has been
cooperative during the investigation, Parker police said.
