Stewart Rhodes is a seditionist. The founder of Oath Keepers, the militant anti-government organization that focuses recruitment on military and law enforcment. The title Oath Keepers is intended to suggest they are honoring oaths of office taken when sworn in as soldiers, law enforcement, or other office. However, they were convicted of violating those oaths in trying to overthrow the peaceful transfer of power.

His wife and children allege he was abusive, that he terrorized them until they carefully planned their escape. They were certain he would kill them. He threatened to kill the family dog. He threatened to kill himself. He choked one of his daughters He certainly promised to do so often enough.
