Dennis L. Rader is the serial killer known as the BTK Killer. He was also a Boy Scout leader and Lutheran Church President. Additionally, he was a Republican appointee to the Sedgewick County Board of Zoning Appeals and the Sedgewick County Animal Control Advisory Board.
As the BTK Killer, he killed ten people, two of them children. He also wrote taunting letters to the police to make sure he was given “credit.”
