George Halcovage is a Schuykill County, Pennsylvania Commissioner. Four women employed by the county filed a lawsuit claiming he had sexually harassed them for years and their complaints were met with retaliation.
The Pennsylvania EEOC determined the women’s claims were credible and that the County ignored them. The Department of Justice joined with the women in their suit against the county and reached a settlement in January 2023 that requires the county to hire a consultant to develop better workplace policies and restricts Halcovage’s behavior. The women’s lawsuits continue.
