Michael Weeden is a former Dover, NH, City Councilor and a NH state representative. In 2015. he was convicted in a jury trial for felony criminal threatening and sentenced to a year in jail with 180 days suspended. He was acquitted of raping her in a separate trial. The alleged attack happened on March 5, 2012.
He put a gun to her head and threatened to kill her and then himself. His attorney argued for leniency since the gun was not loaded. As if she knew that. His father actually said this made him a better person. While he could have been sentenced to 20 years, not only did he get just 1 year, he was made eligible for a program allowing him to be out of jail with an ankle monitor.
