Chad Lupinacci was a Republican Assemblyman in New York when he allegedly assaulted Brian Finnegan. He was later elected Town Supervisor of Huntington, NY, in 2018 for a four-year term. He is now working as a private lawyer.
He was sued in 2018 by his former chief of staff, Brian Finnegan, who accused him of molesting him while the two shared a hotel room in 2017. They usually traveled together from their Long Island office to Albany, sharing a hotel or Lupinacci’s apartment. In December 2017, Finnegan alleges that he was drunk and woke up to Lupinacci fondling his genitals. He quit the next day.
Lupinacci denied the allegations, but he was also accused of sexually harassing another staffer in a separate case. Those allegations were declared unsubstantiated, though the investigator complained that people would not cooperate with the investigation, making some argue that the investigation should have been deemed inconclusive. The allegation was not made by the person he is alleged to have harassed. Neither Lupinacci or the alleged victim cooperated.
