388: Travis Allen

Travis Allen represented Orange County for three terms in the California Assembly before unsuccessfully campaigning for governor. He came in fourth in a top-two primary packed with 32 candidates from all parties. He then ran for chair of the statewide Republican party but lost.

While he was campaigning for governor, the California assembly was forced to reveal documents on “substantiated claims” of sexual harassment which the state had paid settlements for over the last decade. Travis Allen was one of the legislators named. A woman alleged he frequently got too close to her and rested his hands on her shoulders.
