Steve Bannon was the co-founder of Breitbart News, the media engine that drove the alt-right into power in the Republican party. They’ve been fact-checked eight times by PolitiFact and only one story was mostly true. He was the CEO of Trump’s presidential campaign. He was later appointed as chief strategist and senior counselor in the administration but was pushed out.
He’s pushed primaries of Republican politicians to replace them with far-right extremists, part of the MAGA takeover of the Republican party. He and Breitbart reveled in misogyny. He’s also been accused of sexual harassment from his time managing Biosphere 2.
