349: Erick Bennett

Erick Bennett challenged Susan Collins in the GOP primary in Maine, hoping to replace her in the U.S. Senate. He was convicted of domestic violence after attacking his wife in 2003. He also thinks that is a reason to vote for him. He claims his wife set him up and that he has been jailed for refusing to admit to something he didn’t do. This, he claims, is proof of how much integrity he has. His defense was she tripped over her own feet and fell against him. He was convicted, appealed and appealed and lost and lost.
