Seth Carey is a Maine Republican. He ran for DA for Androscoggin, Oxford and Franklin counties after a judge found that he had made unwanted sexual advances three times to a woman living in his home. He had lost his license so would be not allowed to actually practice the job he was running for. Despite these facts, he won the Republican primary though he lost in the 2018 General Election though he won 42% of the vote even though he was facing criminal charges and not allowed to practice law.
He took up raising hemp in 2019.
In 2021, he was indicted for those sexual assaults. He’s running again. He still has no law license. He appealed in April 2022. He lost.
