Matthew Demetrius Cooper is a member of Patriot Prayer, one of the far right militia groups “standing by” to wage war on the United States. When he was in Virginia and was charged with two counts of raping a child. He skipped out and has been living in Washington. He comes to Portland as a leading member of Patriot Prayer, participating in the Cider Riot attack, and bragged on Twitter about beating a trans woman with a bat. Next time I’ll make sure they don’t make to a hospital.” He is identified as Deme Cooper in most news articles.
