#1570 Tyler Boebert

Tyler Boebert was arrested on August 6 2026, but court documents indicate the alleged offenses occurred in January 2024—about a month before he was arrested and charged in connection with a separate series of break-ins in Rifle.

In a 50-page arrest affidavit, prosecutors allege that Tyler Boebert recorded child sexual abuse material and helped create it. The affidavit states that the images and videos were later intended for publication on Instagram.

The charges against Tyler Boebert include causing a child to produce sexually explicit material, possessing sexually exploitative material of a child with intent to distribute it, possessing sexually exploitative video of a child, and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. All charges are felonies brought under Colorado Statute 18-6-403.

His bond was set at $10,000. He was released Sunday after his mother picked him up following a visit to a Baptist church.

Tyler Boebert had previously been charged with child abuse in July 2025 after his toddler son reportedly left the congresswoman’s home, according to Westword. In February 2026, he faced another misdemeanor child abuse charge after his 2-year-old son allegedly wandered away from Lauren Boebert’s Windsor, Colorado home toward a nearby lake, the Daily Mail reported. At the time, Lauren Boebert said a “kind woman” secured the child and authorities were contacted as a precaution.

That second child abuse charge was filed while Tyler Boebert was already serving a two-year deferred sentence—a probationary agreement that allowed him to avoid a felony conviction—after he pleaded guilty in 2024 to identity theft tied to car break-ins, the Post Independent reported.

His next court appearance is scheduled for August 19, 2026 in Garfield County.
