Jake Freeman was a police officer in Las Vegas. He was arrested for aggravated stalking, attempted home invasion, & destruction of property, all against his ex-wife.
She had moved back with her parents after she left him and filed for divorce.
On December 2, he followed her home after a Christmas party they both attended. He kept insisting she pull over so they could talk. When she did, he brandished a Glock and then dropped it in her lap.
On December 31, three days after their divorce was finalized, he went to her parents’ home and began banging on the door demanding she come outside and talk to him. She called the police shortly before 3:00 a.m. and he was arrested. She also said he stalked her and repeatedly contacted her despite her pleas to be left alone.
He told arresting officers he suspected she was having an affair with one of his coworkers and wanted to catch them. Never mind they were divorced.
He died by suicide after he was released from jail.
