Brian Stout is a Republican state representative in Oregon. A woman who was active in the Columbia County Republican Party alleged that Stout aggressively pursued her sexually with her consent to kissing and touching each other. But he pushed her and tried to rape her. His wife walked in on them before he raped her.
He then began threatening her, sending her a picture of a gun, telling her he would push her off a cliff or slit her throat. She sought a protective order which was granted in November 2022 for five years.
When the story broke he was removed from all committees. He fought the protective order but the judge sustained the woman’s allegations and maintained the protective order.
