Mathew Capsel is an insurrectionist. He was on arrested on January 6th and two days later violated a protection order filed by a former romantic partner after he was violent. He has defied protection orders multiple times. He was also arrested for batter in 2013 for an incident where he allegedly hit a woman 3 to 4 times. He was not prosecuted for this.

558: Guy Reffitt

Familial Abuse & Violence

Guy Reffitt is an insurrectionist. He also abused his wife, including putting her in a chokehold, strangling her, and threatening her with a gun. His wife defends him as a “Southern gentleman” who would never walk through a door in front of a woman. Strangle her, yes, but he will hold the door.

555: Ruben Verastigui

Child Sexual Abuse Material

Ruben Verastigui was a digital strategist for the Senate Republican Conference. He also worked as a senior designer for the Republican National Committee. He made Trump MAGA ads. He also was active in the antiabortion movement, working for March for Life, Students for Life, and Live Action. He was arrested for possessing and sharing child exploitation material. He pled guilty and was sentenced to 151 months.

554: Chad Michael Salsman

Extortion, Organizational Cover-Up, Sexual Assault, Trafficking

Chad Michael Salsman was elected as District Attorney. He was an active volunteer at his church. A Republican, he had been a defense attorney. In 2019, he forced some of his clients to trade sex for legal representation. He was charged with sexual assault, indecent assault, witness intimidation, obstruction of justice, and promoting prostitution.

553: Clyde “Ed” Sniffen

Sexual Abuse, Sexual Misconduct

Ed Sniffen was the Attorney General of Alaska. He resigned when the details of a sexual relationship he had with a high school student were revealed by the Anchorage Daily News and ProPublica. Ironically, he had been appointed because the former Attorney General Kevin Clarkson resigned due to his own sexual misconduct.

552: John Moorlach

Organizational Cover-Up

John Moorlach was a Republican Orange County (CA) Supervisor. He was a Republican State Senator. He attempted to run for supervisor again but he lost. He then. ran for Mayor of Costa Mesa. He lost.

His former staffer Patricia Todd filed a criminal complaint the Assemblyman Bill Brough sexually assaulter her. She was the sixth woman to come forward She informed her supervisor, Moorlach’s Chief of Staff Tim Clark. They agree that far. But Clark says he told her to go to the police. She says Clark told her to not tell anyone.

John Moorlach decided to insert himself to say she was not credible, a disgruntled former employee.

551: Steven Sumner

Child Rape, Child Sexual Abuse Material, Coercion, Sexual Assault, Sexual Battery, Sexual Misconduct

Steven Sumner was a Republican county councilman for Madison County, Indiana. He is also the pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church. He was charged with Child Seduction which means Sumner was in some way the child’s guardian, adoptive parent, adoptive grandparent, custodian, or stepparent. Other charges include child molestation, contributing to delinquency, sexual battery, sexual misconduct, as well as possession of child sexual exploitation material. According to the State Police, a child, younger than sixteen, told them he gave her alcohol and performed sexual acts on her and asked her to reciprocate. Additional charges were added involving a child under 14. The trial is set for February 27, 2023
