He is the sheriff behind the Netflix series “Jailbirds” and exploitative reality show featuring women prisoners in the Sacramento County jail. He has made two unsuccessful runs as a Republican for Congress, in 2016 and 2022. In 2022, he didn’t make it past the primary.

Mark Adams was the fiscal officer for Butler township and treasurer of Montgomery County GOP. HeIn 2019, he resigned after a woman accused him of theft and sexual harassment. According to her, he harassed her when she met with him at the bank where he worked. She gave him money to open an account but it was not credited to her. The bank investigated and fired Adams. However, she did not file a suit and he was back at Butler Township in 2020.
